SecureGuard is comprised of two basic
components: the wireless device which
connects to the gate or door controller and
SecureGuard's servers which are accessed via
the Internet or telephone. The wireless
device installs easily on the controller
with three wires and the magnetic mounted
antenna.
The property owner creates an account on the
SecureGuard web site, creates a private
access code, and codes for as many people as
needed. Access codes can be created that
expire after a fixed number of uses, that
are valid only for a certain date range or
are valid until cancelled. This gives the
property owner maximum flexibility and
security. Virtually an unlimited number of
access codes can be created so each person
entering the property can be given unique
codes.
To enter the
property, simply call the SecureGuard
automated service line at 866-ZAP-OPEN
(866-927-6736), enter the gate or door
number and the personal access code. The
SecureGuard system validates the code and
sends a command to the wireless device which
opens the gate or door. Each transaction is
logged in the SecureGuard system. These logs
can be sorted by time/date or by access code
so it is easy to determine exactly who
entered the property and when they entered.
SecureGuard attaches to the gate controller
and will work with any type of gate for any
application. SecureGuard is designed to work
in conjunction with your existing systems
such as key pads or push button openers so
you don’t have to remove or replace what you
are currently using.

Each time SecureGuard is used, it is logged
and available on the website.
Keep Open feature
- SecureGuard’s unique Keep Open feature
allows you to hold the gate open for up to
seventy-two hours whenever you open the
gate. If you want to leave the gate open for
an hour, a day or an entire weekend, it’s
easy with SecureGuard and you don’t have to
shut off the gate or even get out of the
car. Simply enter the number of hours you
want the gate kept open when prompted when
using the phone or the web site to open the
gate.
Email alerts -
With SecureGuard, you can choose to receive
email alerts each time the system is used.
You will know right away when the gate is
entered and who entered it. You can even
receive alerts on your cell phone by using
the cell phone’s email address.
