The DoorKing 9500 Series is rated for slide gates up to 25,000 pounds and is the correct specification for Class IV applications and any installation where gate spans, structural loads, or duty cycle requirements exceed what the 9200 Series accommodates. These operators are used at large ports of entry, border security infrastructure, major airport and seaport facilities, military base main gates, and large correctional facilities. Selecting the Right Series for Your Application
The correct series for your project is determined by gate weight, security classification, and duty cycle requirements. For most government and military procurement, the security classification will narrow the selection before gate weight enters the calculation.
Class III applications with gates under 8,000 pounds: the 9200 Series covers the requirement. Class IV applications, or any installation involving gates over 8,000 pounds, require the 9500 Series.
